SnoFolio

SnoFolio is a cloud-based mobile lesson platform that gives skiers a new way to instantly review and build upon their training. SnoFolio links every training session to create a clear picture of each skier’s progress. The more you use it, the clearer the picture.
I joined the SnoFolio team as the Lead UI/UX Designer and was able to quickly help improve the overall design process and modernizing the UI. The SnoFolio suite of products covers various different platforms and user types, so I had the opportunity to work on a dynamic team and contribute to multiple products at the same time.
In addition to contributing to the designs, I also helped facilitate an overall app redesign which helped solve a lot of the technical debt the company was dealing with. I've discussed some of the contributions I've made during my time at the company below.
To solve some complex UX issues and to determine the best direction for some of the features, I leveraged user flows and journey mapping. This exercise helped to build empathy towards user problems and it also helped communicate complex ideas to developers so the backend can appropriately handle the design changes. Below are examples of some of my work.

I leveraged the use of wireframes for various projects throughout my time at SnoFolio. This helped get ideas approved without too much initial time commitment and also helped to validates ideas iteratively and efficiently.

One of the first tasks I completed at SnoFolio was to revamp the design system. We used Abstract to help with version control and collaboration. The design system was developed as a library so components can be reused throughout the designs and to also help developers create reusable assets. Below are some snippets of the changes I made to the design system.

Majority of my work at SnoFolio involved designing the web, iPad, and mobile app. I worked closely with the developers and PM's on the team to ensure requirements are met and product direction is clear. As the lead designer I was responsible for designing features that spanned across multiple devices.
